VW Transporter T6 Remapping / Tuning

The T6 comes with a 2.0 common rail diesel (CR) engine available in 84, 102, 150, and 204 bhp. The 84 and 102 bhp models are mechanically identical and can be tuned to the same power. The 150 bhp models have either a 6-speed manual or DSG (automatic) gearbox, while the lower bhp variants come with a 5-speed manual. All T6 Euro 6 diesel models feature the Delphi DCM6.2 engine control unit and AdBlue technology. The 5-speed manuals (84 and 102 bhp) need torque capped at 350 NM for gearbox and turbo protection. Incorrect turbo map settings can lead to sudden turbo failure, as experienced by a leading manufacturer who eventually withdrew tuning for these models.

The 6-speed or DSG models (150 and 204 bhp) do not have significant torque concerns but must be tuned to a perfect lambda level to prevent DPF (Diesel Particle Filter) issues. Stage 1 rolling road tuning costs:

£375 including VAT

Tuning typically takes 60-90 minutes, and you are welcome to stay with your van during the process.

Gearbox Tuning:

The 150 bhp and 204 bhp models with a DSG gearbox can be tuned for faster shift times, improved shift points, and an optimised driving experience. DSG tuning costs £245 on its own or £150 with an engine tune.

Before tuning, we perform a full diagnostics check and data logs to ensure your vehicle’s health. DPF regeneration and minor adaptations are included at no additional cost.

If you have the latest MD1 ECU the engine bay will look like the below photo with an extra knock sensor, this means the cost will be £1600 including vat and will be around 2-3 weeks turn around as we will need to get the ecu unlocked.
